Getting Involved

New Plymouth Basketball Association (NPBA) relies on the support of dedicated volunteers to deliver quality basketball experiences across our leagues, events, and tournaments. Whether you're interested in being on the court, on the bench, or behind the scenes, there are plenty of ways you can get involved and help grow the game in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Coach: Support a team by helping players develop their skills, confidence, and teamwork.

• Team Manager: Play a vital role in organising players and managing team logistics throughout the season.

• Referee or Scorebench Official: Help ensure games are played fairly and safely while learning more about the rules and flow of the game.

• General Event Support: Assist with tournament setup, registration, and other key roles that make our competitions run smoothly.

Volunteering with NPBA is a rewarding way to give back, stay connected to the sport, and contribute to a positive sporting environment. It’s also a great opportunity to build experience, meet new people, and be part of a passionate basketball community.
